One job or self-employment opportunity per family

The manifesto promised at least one employment or self-employment opportunity in every family through central and state schemes. Approved sources show relevant delivery channels: the Madhya Pradesh MSME department lists self-employment schemes including Mukhyamantri Udyam Kranti Yojana, Mukhyamantri Yuva Udyami Yojana, Mukhyamantri Swarojgar Yojana and PMEGP. Times of India reported state claims that since April 2025, around 32 lakh individuals from 22 lakh families had benefited from MGNREGA in Madhya Pradesh. PRS also records a Rs 100 crore allocation for Mukhya Mantri Samriddha Pariwar Yojana, a BPL-family package. These show meaningful employment and self-employment activity, but not a verified household-level guarantee covering every family. The verdict is partial because relevant schemes are active but universal family coverage is not evidenced. Budget: PRS records Rs 100 crore for Mukhya Mantri Samriddha Pariwar Yojana and Rs 4,050 crore for the National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme in 2025-26, while utilisation evidence for universal family-level coverage was not found.
