Our Assessment
On the criminal-justice side, a complete overhaul has occurred via the three new criminal laws (in force July 2024). For commercial and civil justice, reforms such as the Commercial Courts framework, the Mediation Act 2023 and e-Courts continue, but a comprehensive overhaul of the civil/commercial justice system on the scale of the criminal-law replacement has not yet been undertaken.
