Our Assessment

high

Tribal health is being addressed in mission mode. The National Sickle Cell Anaemia Elimination Mission (launched July 2023, targeting elimination by 2047) screened about 4.5 crore tribal people in its first year, supported by expanded Ayushman Arogya Mandirs so tribal communities can be screened closer to home, and a national sickle cell portal. Malnutrition work continues through Saksham Anganwadi/Poshan 2.0 and PM JANMAN in PVTG areas. Concrete, large-scale action is under way, but the explicit goals (eliminating malnutrition and sickle cell anaemia) are long-horizon and not yet achieved. Partial.
