The Alternate Dispute Resolution ecosystem has been strengthened by the Mediation Act, 2023 (institutionalising mediation, including pre-litigation mediation and a Mediation Council of India), ongoing reform of the arbitration framework (a draft Arbitration and Conciliation (Amendment) Bill to make India a hub for institutional arbitration), and promotion of online dispute resolution. The legal framework is being actively improved, with full ecosystem maturity still developing. Partial (strong action).

View sourceWe will continue our efforts to address the issues in the disturbed areas and remove AFSPA in a phased manner. We will further work towards resolution of inter-state border disputes amongst Northeastern states through sustained efforts.
We will establish fast track courts for quick disposal of pendency in identified areas.
We will accelerate the e-Courts Mission Mode Project to complete the digitisation of entire court records and for easy access to court proceedings online.
