Our Assessment

medium

India has expanded international air capacity, with around 34 international airports and new greenfield airports such as Noida International (Jewar) and Navi Mumbai International being operationalised with international handling capability, alongside upgrades of regional airports towards international standards. The number of international gateways is being increased incrementally, so the pledge is in progress. Partial.
