What does this status mean?
Meaningful delivery has occurred, but the stated commitment is incomplete.
Status describes delivery. Confidence describes how strong the available evidence is.
Original manifesto wording
“We will safeguard our coastal communities and ecosystems by building resilience against climate change and its threats.”
Our Assessment
Coastal climate resilience is being built through mangrove restoration under the MISHTI programme (about 4,536 hectares of mangroves restored in 2025), the Enhancing Coastal and Ocean Resource Efficiency (ENCORE) programme, integrated coastal-zone management and Coastal Regulation Zone protections. Efforts are ongoing across coastal states. Partial. (Note: complements the resilient-coastal-infrastructure commitment in the Balanced Regional Development section; this entry reflects the climate-resilience/ecosystems framing.)
