Employment guarantee for power-project-affected families

No approved-source evidence was found that the specific commitment, a 100% guarantee of employment to at least one member of every family affected by new power projects, has been implemented as policy. Project-affected families do receive other forms of support under the hydropower framework, for example free electricity for affected families, Local Area Development Fund allocations and free-power royalties, and the government reported releasing about Rs 25.25 crore in financial assistance to hydropower-affected families and areas, but these are not the promised employment guarantee.
