What does this status mean?
The stated commitment has been substantively delivered, supported by evidence.
Status describes delivery. Confidence describes how strong the available evidence is.
Original manifesto wording
“We aim to develop Gujarat as the Aviation Manufacturing Hub of the country. Under this, we will: Facilitate time-bound completion of Gujarat's first aircraft manufacturing facility in Vadodara.”
Our Assessment
The Tata-Airbus C-295 final assembly line in Vadodara was inaugurated on 28 October 2024. The Defence Ministry described it as ready for production and the first private-sector final assembly line for military aircraft in India. Airbus confirmed that parts for the first India-built C-295 had reached the site. The project was contracted and its foundation stone laid before the election, so the post-election completion is credited without claiming the manifesto originated the project. The commitment is to complete the facility, not to deliver every aircraft; aircraft output must be tracked separately.
