What does this status mean?
Meaningful delivery has occurred, but the stated commitment is incomplete.
Status describes delivery. Confidence describes how strong the available evidence is.
Original manifesto wording
“We will enhance the Mid-Day Meal Scheme by routinely conducting checks in mid-day meal kitchens by constituting teams of Poshan Rakshaks.”
Our Assessment
The 2024–25 PM POSHAN review reports 513 meal samples tested during the preceding year, including 440 meeting norms, 18 below norms and results outstanding for the remainder. Functional testing counts even without the Poshan Rakshak name. It is not a complete record of routine kitchen inspections, team deployment or corrective action across the state. The ministry also called for continued accredited laboratory testing.
