Our Assessment
Ahmedabad's official supply-office page lists rural and urban vigilance committees among its PDS functions. That supports an existing oversight mechanism, rather than a new post-election rollout. Current village-wise membership, meeting records, inspections and resolved complaints were not verified across Gujarat. The presence of committees alone cannot establish the promised complete transparency and accountability.
