Modernise Anganwadis through a ₹100-crore Minal Devi Mission
Bharatiya Janata Party · Gujarat Legislative Assembly Election 2022
Last updated 15 Oct 2026
What does this status mean?
Meaningful delivery has occurred, but the stated commitment is incomplete.
Status describes delivery. Confidence describes how strong the available evidence is.
Original manifesto wording
“We will launch a ₹100 crore Minal Devi Mission to modernise Anganwadi Centres in Gujarat as per the guidelines of the Saksham Anganwadi project.”
Our Assessment
The Governor's 2026 address reports basic amenities across 53,065 Anganwadis, 1,063 centres inaugurated in 2025–26 and further buildings under construction. This is concrete infrastructure work and counts toward the intended service even under existing programmes. It does not demonstrate a ₹100-crore modernisation allocation or completion of all Saksham standards such as learning equipment and digital facilities. General Anganwadi construction and nutrition budgets are not treated as the promised mission fund.
The reasoning behind the verdict
Why this assessment?
Reviewed
01 · Delivery status
Why partially done?
Anganwadi infrastructure is being delivered, but the ₹100-crore modernisation scope and Saksham-standard completion are not fully verified.
02 · Strength of evidence
Why medium confidence?
Relevant delivery evidence exists, but complete scope, coverage or independent verification remains limited.
What would help us reassess?
The documents that could clarify delivery of this commitment.
- A mapped ₹100-crore modernisation allocation and expenditure ledger
- Centre-level Saksham upgrades, equipment and completion certificates
