Develop every Gujarat district as an export hub
Bharatiya Janata Party · Gujarat Legislative Assembly Election 2022
Last updated 12 Oct 2026
What does this status mean?
Meaningful delivery has occurred, but the stated commitment is incomplete.
Status describes delivery. Confidence describes how strong the available evidence is.
Original manifesto wording
“We will develop every district of Gujarat as an export hub by setting up a unique ecosystem for manufacturing, designing, packaging, and marketing.”
Our Assessment
The Districts as Export Hubs programme began before the election. A March 2026 Union reply names products identified in Sabarkantha and Aravalli, and district export plans are published for Ahmedabad and Vadodara. These are verifiable planning steps, but do not establish the promised manufacturing, design, packaging and marketing ecosystem in every Gujarat district.
The reasoning behind the verdict
Why this assessment?
Reviewed
01 · Delivery status
Why partially done?
Named Gujarat districts have export planning activity, while state-wide operational coverage and the full ecosystem remain unverified.
02 · Strength of evidence
Why medium confidence?
Official programme records identify specific Gujarat districts, but lack a complete district-by-district implementation and outcomes table.
What would help us reassess?
The documents that could clarify delivery of this commitment.
- A dated District Export Action Plan and implementation status for every Gujarat district
- District-level facilities and exporter outcomes covering manufacturing, design, packaging and marketing
Status describes delivery. Confidence describes the evidence.
