Provide a dedicated CM grievance helpline and website
Bharatiya Janata Party · Gujarat Legislative Assembly Election 2022
Last updated 15 Oct 2026
What does this status mean?
Meaningful delivery has occurred, but the stated commitment is incomplete.
Status describes delivery. Confidence describes how strong the available evidence is.
Original manifesto wording
“We will expand the scope of the ongoing grievance redressal mechanism. Under this: We will roll out a dedicated CM helpline and website”
Our Assessment
Citizens can submit grievances through the CMO website and SWAGAT, which the state government's own website directory identifies as CM grievance channels. A December 2025 launch of SWAGAT 2.0 added digital monitoring and escalation features. This is relevant post-election improvement to an existing grievance mechanism. The longstanding SWAGAT and Write to CMO services are not treated as newly created after 2022. A separately commissioned statewide CM call-centre helpline, its operating hours, complaint-registration process and service records were not verified. The website component and digital expansion support Partially Done, while the dedicated voice-helpline component remains unresolved.
The reasoning behind the verdict
Why this assessment?
Reviewed
01 · Delivery status
Why partially done?
Official web grievance channels exist and received a documented post-election upgrade; an operational dedicated CM telephone helpline was not verified.
02 · Strength of evidence
Why medium confidence?
The official directory establishes the web channels and a contemporaneous launch account documents SWAGAT 2.0. A voice-call commissioning and performance record is missing.
What would help us reassess?
The documents that could clarify delivery of this commitment.
- Official launch and commissioning order for the dedicated CM helpline
- Public telephone access details and call-registration records
- Complaint resolution and escalation statistics for both channels
Status describes delivery. Confidence describes the evidence.
