Our Assessment
In progress. Under the BJP government, RO drinking-water ATMs have been inaugurated in unauthorised colonies and jhuggi areas, and the 2025-26 budget earmarked ₹9,000 crore for the water sector including drinking-water access. A comprehensive water-ATM rollout across all JJ clusters has not been confirmed as complete as of the research date. Marked partial.
