Our Assessment

The scheme was approved by the Delhi Cabinet in March 2025 with an oversight committee, and ₹5,100-5,110 crore was allocated across the 2025-26 and 2026-27 budgets. As of mid-2026, registration/portal rollout was under way but large-scale direct disbursement of ₹2,500 to beneficiaries had not been separately verified as having commenced.
