Our Assessment

The Delhi government earmarked about ₹700 crore (2025-26) and ₹800 crore (2026-27 budget) for infrastructure in unauthorised/regularised colonies, including roads, drainage, water supply and parks. Funding is committed and works are to be taken up systematically, but the establishment of a distinct "Colony Upgradation Commission" body has not been separately verified.
