“We will implement the Jal Jeevan Mission and ensure ‘har ghar nal se jal’ in every home in unauthorised colonies and take strict action against tanker mafias.”
A fleet of 1,111 GPS-enabled tankers (April 2025) and ~₹9,000 crore for water infrastructure aim to curb the tanker mafia and expand piped supply. However, full "har ghar nal se jal" piped-water coverage in every unauthorised-colony home has not been verified as of June 2026. (Cross-ref: related to the JJ-cluster Jal Jeevan Mission and tanker-mafia promises.)
