Our Assessment

high

The Delhi Cabinet approved the Mahila Samriddhi Yojana on International Women’s Day (8 March 2025) with a ₹5,110 crore outlay, and a CM-headed implementation committee was constituted. The allocation was repeated in the FY2026-27 budget. However, as of that budget the registration portal had not gone live and no monthly ₹2,500 transfers had reached beneficiaries — a delay of more than a year on a flagship promise, repeatedly flagged by the opposition. Marked pending (no disbursement yet), not partial.
