Our Assessment

The Delhi government has held repeated consultations with gig-worker platforms (including Swiggy, Zomato, Blinkit and Uber) since May 2025, reaffirmed the commitment in its Independence Day address and 2026-27 budget, and announced rest stops attached to Atal Canteens. However, the Gig Workers Welfare Board had not been formally constituted as of mid-2026.
