In-situ slum rehabilitation under PMAY-U has produced completed flats for JJ-cluster residents in Ashok Vihar (Jailorwala Bagh, ~1,675 units with ~1,396 allotted, inaugurated January 2025) and Kalkaji, largely via DDA/central projects. The forward commitment — an additional 3.5 lakh pucca houses in collaboration with the Centre — is a large multi-year target on which substantive new delivery has not yet been demonstrated, with independent reporting noting a slow take-off of Delhi slum redevelopment. We will implement the Delhi Master Plan 2041 in collaboration with the central government, aimed at providing adequate and affordable housing for all.
