“We will launch the CM SHRI Yojana on the lines of PM SHRI, to open new schools with modern classrooms and qualified teachers in JJ clusters and upgrade existing government schools.”
Substantially delivered. The CM SHRI Schools scheme was announced in the 2025-26 Delhi budget (₹100 crore initial allocation), followed by a teacher-recruitment drive, and on 17 February 2026 Union and Delhi ministers inaugurated 75 CM SHRI schools (12 rebuilt, 63 upgraded in existing government buildings) with smart classrooms, ICT/language labs and a digitised library network — operationalised within roughly one year. The scheme’s core commitment (new schools plus upgraded government schools, on the lines of PM SHRI) is met; JJ-cluster-specific siting of these 75 schools is not separately documented, hence the scope note. Marked fulfilled.
Union and Delhi ministers inaugurate 75 CM SHRI schools across Delhi (operationalised within ~1 year).
