Help us verifyWhat does this status mean?
Meaningful delivery has occurred, but the stated commitment is incomplete.
Status describes delivery. Confidence describes how strong the available evidence is.
Original manifesto wording
“We will increase the number of beneficiaries of the Public Distribution System (PDS) by setting up camps for new ration cards to include the citizens who were left out of this scheme.”
Our Assessment
In progress. The government has moved to widen ration-card access — including raising the ration-card income eligibility limit (reported around ₹1.2 lakh) — with a large pool of new applicants (reported in the lakhs) being processed to bring in those previously left out. As of the research date this is an ongoing expansion rather than a completed drive. Marked partial. SOURCING FLAG: weak — confirm against a Food & Supplies Department release.
