Our Assessment
Launched in 2025 as Talliki Vandanam (replacing Amma Vodi): Rs 15,000/year per school-going child credited to mothers, covering ~67 lakh students with Rs 9,407 crore allocated for 2025-26. Rs 2,000 of the Rs 15,000 is deducted at source for school upkeep, and the opposition alleges beneficiary numbers were reduced from earlier estimates.
