Our Assessment
On track. The Brahmin Welfare Corporation runs schemes that recognise and support those in the purohitam, Veda-Parayanam and archakatam professions - for example the Veda Vyasa scheme (annual assistance for Brahmin students in Vedic education) and the Kalyanamastu Pathakam (for brides marrying men in these professions). A formal occupational-registration or dedicated honorarium framework for purohits is not separately confirmed.
