Our Assessment
On track. The 2025-26 agriculture budget allocated about Rs 12,773 crore to the free agricultural electricity scheme, which continues. The specific manifesto commitment of nine hours of quality daytime supply is not separately confirmed (historical supply has been around seven hours).
