SRI is documented by MoEF/ICFRE as a sustainable land and ecosystem management practice already adopted by farmers in Uttarakhand, and a 2025 ICAR-CRRI/Uttarakhand Watershed training focused on climate-smart rice practices and GHG mitigation; but a statewide government SRI adoption programme is not verified. The objective has related activity and technical basis, but no clear post-2022 Uttarakhand government rollout for SRI adoption at scale. Budget: Climate-smart agriculture activity exists under UCRRFP/training channels; no SRI-specific statewide allocation isolated.
