Organic tea gardens in three districts
Bharatiya Janata Party · Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly Election 2022

What does this status mean?
Meaningful delivery has occurred, but the stated commitment is incomplete.
Status describes delivery. Confidence describes how strong the available evidence is.
Original manifesto wording
“We will expand organic tea farming in the state by promoting new organic tea gardens in Almora, Bagheshwar and Pithoragarh.”
Our Assessment
The Uttarakhand Tea Development Board manages tea factories including Kausani and Harinagari in Bageshwar and describes tea-sector quality training. This supports active tea-sector promotion, but I did not verify new organic tea gardens promoted after 2022 specifically in Almora, Bageshwar and Pithoragarh. Budget status: tea-board infrastructure exists, no district-specific new organic garden allocation found.
Promise Timeline
BJP manifesto promised new organic tea gardens in Almora, Bageshwar and Pithoragarh.
