AYUSH bridge-course certification
Bharatiya Janata Party · Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly Election 2022
Last updated 4 Jul 2026
What does this status mean?
Meaningful delivery has occurred, but the stated commitment is incomplete.
Status describes delivery. Confidence describes how strong the available evidence is.
Original manifesto wording
“Certify AYUSH practitioners through a duly recognized bridge course to serve as mid-level care providers, with a special focus on community health services in the 10 hill districts.”
Our Assessment
The national Bridge Programme in Community Health for nurses and Ayurveda practitioners is an approved route for mid-level health providers, and CAG notes that Uttarakhand's SHC-HWC team can include a trained and certified Ayurveda practitioner or nurse as CHO/MLHP. However, I did not verify a Uttarakhand-specific post-2022 certification drive focused on all 10 hill districts. This is partial because the enabling framework exists but the manifesto's hill-district rollout is not proven. Budget status: HWC/CHO programme funding exists, no Uttarakhand hill-district bridge-course allocation isolated.
