The manifesto promised to raise Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana assistance from Rs 5,000 to Rs 8,000 and ensure 100 per cent coverage. Rajasthan announced and implemented a state increase to Rs 6,500, and The Indian Express reported in December 2025 that Rs 531 crore had been provided to 9.92 lakh mothers. This is substantial delivery through the same programme, but the verified benefit remains Rs 1,500 below the promised amount and no approved evidence establishes 100 per cent coverage of all eligible mothers. The 2026-27 Budget continues the scheme with a target of 4.34 lakh women. Budget: The 2026-27 Budget provides Rs 321 crore, including a State share of Rs 164.40 crore; reported cumulative disbursement reached Rs 531 crore by December 2025.
