“We will expand Ayushman Bharat – Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana to cover all families in need, providing free secondary and tertiary healthcare of up to Rs 5 lakh per family per year. The scheme shall be extended to cover middle-class families and senior citizens above 70 years of age.”
Ayushman Bharat has been expanded to cover over 55 crore beneficiaries with the addition of senior citizens above 70. Hospital empanelment and claim settlement have improved significantly.
